The Base Room™ Company was proud to launch the Base Room™ concept at the
British Invention Show 2009.
Against stiff opposition, including many international inventions and designs,
The Base Room™ Company collected the Platinum Award for Innovation. The ground-breaking idea of creating space without losing any, through a partially submerged garden Base Room™, caught the imagination of both the judges and the public at this year's show.
The Base Room™ Company also secured a Gold Medal Award for design. Judges were impressed, not only by the clever introduction of light and air to this underground leisure room, but also the seamless integration with the existing garden landscape.
The Base Room™ is a smart solution for modern living, which increases the living space of a domestic dwelling without compromising any existing space.
The first build has been completed and is available for viewing from 1 November 2009.
